Mark Zuckerberberg- Article

3. Zuckerberg claims that his appearance on Oprah was to announce a 100 Million dollar donation to Newark Schools. Do you think this philanthropy is genuine, or did he do this to coincide with the release of the "unauthorized", "fictional" tale of his life? Is this just good marketing?

I do believe that Zuckerberg's donation was very genuine and generous, and had nothing to do with the new release of the movie on his life, titled "The Social Network". I dont belive that this was just a marketing gimick for the movie, becuase apperently he was going to do it anonymously without anyone knowing, and I do believe from even just watching that clip that he is a nice, down to earth, and genuine guy that cares about chlidrens education. I also think maybe he believes that since he is so fortunate that why not give back. Especailly since its for childrens education becuase he even said it himself, without his education he wouldnt have been able to accomplish his company. I also think that maybe a part of his appearance on Oprah was to sort of save his ass. I think he wanted people to know and belive him that, really he is not the bad guy that the movie potrays him to be.
